Finding Your Purpose

Everyone's born for a purpose. Live it, believe in it, have faith that you are equipped with the intuition to know which direction you are heading. Even when you have absolutely no idea what you are doing or if you are doing it for a purpose, you need to let it all go and have faith.

Strive. Strive hard but take time, every single day, to slow down and reflect.

If you do not know what your purpose is, it is alright. No one can be absolutely sure and certain that they are doing the right thing...but the heart knows.

The right thing to do is to consult people around you, talk to them. Get their opinion on things and do not defend when they do not agree with you. It is THEIR opinion and you asked them for it. So, accept it and think about it.

The most important thing is to, after asking people around you, ask YOURSELF. Always base your decisions on your instincts and experience. Is that what you want? What are the sacrifices and are you willing to make them? Would this make you happy? The you within you, not just the superficial person who base decisions on ego. Is the YOU within you going to be happy with that decision. Would you regret it some years down the road if you didn't make it?

It may take some time but I believe with a conviction that if you repeated this process of self enquiry, you will soon find your purpose in this life.

Prompt - Describe My Favorite Drink

Favorite drink? Non-alcoholic? Lol. Coffee because of its aroma and it is an added bonus that it wakes me up (before I go-go) and at this point in time, I try to stay away from Starbucks because it ain't cheap and it is basically sugar-in-a-cup, that stuff. I am continually in love with my three-in-one, yes, boring but faithful. And everyone should be in love with coffee, in my personal opinion. But that is just me. XOXO Marsha

A Sweet Life

Bad news comes along everyday but last year alone, quite a few bad news struck me. The timing was like a mechanical pendulum. I thought to myself several times that I had enough, that what I needed was a break. A 10 day retreat where I am required to speak to no one, do nothing, listen to silence and nature and just be what I am meant to be.  But real life is not something you can escape for a long period of time. I served my silence....but reality will pendulum-swing back. A friend passed away after being in a coma for a few months. I know both husband and wife and they've always been really positive about handling the toughest of life situations. We may not agree with everything, but we do agree on many. During the time she was unconscious, I prayed every single day. I kid you not.  Her husband would report about her condition, good or bad, and I would either offer thanks or pray for good news and strength. Even during the worst hit moments, I kept the posi...

Feeling a Little Better

After all that fighting with the first week of meds, I finally feel like I am slightly more human and I can even consume food without throwing up anymore! It's a big celebration at the dinner table, it's a big celebration in the room and it's also a big celebration on the inside of me.  Taking care of myself has never been as important as last month when the sickness took over every single aspect of my life, every second of my life, and every ounce of my energy. When you're well, it's OK to fight all the way to planet Pluto and back  because you have it together. But when you're sick, there's nothing more humbling than your body telling you that you absolutely CANNOT.  Being this way has everything to do with being a single mother. Being alone or lonely was never much of an option for me and that has to do with the way I was brought up and the way I grew up. I had to fasttrack a lot of things and many times, when I failed, I had to pick everything u...
