YAYYYYYY!!! First post for this new blog!! *high five*
Anyway, the first thing that I want to explain here is that yes, I am a writer and I am full time mom. I think most of you can find me on the internet quite easily. I do extensive online marketing and stuff. But that is quite another journey. A stressful one.
For this blog, it is about me finding a balance and being ZEN. I think some of my friends are going to freak out and wonder what happened to me. It all started when I found this amazing temple VERY NEAR my place and I have felt very calm, balanced and serene when I was there. I LOOOOOOOVVVEEEE it there.
So, here we go. This Zen Chic Mom starts her journey.
The first thing that I want to mention is this....you can belong to all types of religion to read this blog. It should not be against ANY religion to understand what I have to say here and it is an across-the-board zen experience.
For example, doing Dana. Dana is a term used to describe charity and kindness and sharing. Is there a religion out there that encourages selfishness and lavish overspending? No. I believe not. Doing Dana is not something to be bragged about, you should do it through the kindness of your heart. You should not expect anything in return and there is no acknowledgement to show off to your friends. That is not Dana.
Dana comes from your heart.
Be it RM50,000 or RM2 that you contribute, it is enough. You could do your Dana at charitable homes, rehabilation centers, temples, churches or mosques....it doesn't matter. The main aim is to share what you are capable of earning and what you have with others who do not.
Simple, RIIIIGGGHHHTTT?
Today's father's day. Back on earth, I have to celebrate Father's Day with my dad who gave me life and my sister who used to squabble with me LIKE ALL THE TIME when we were kids and yet have share the same value with me now that we are older. It's her birthday two days later, which kinda suck coz that would be a working day. But never one to stop celebrating just because it is a working day, I am sure she will have a fun time after work, anyway. :-)
Breathe in. Breathe Out. As simple as that.
Yours zenfully,
Marsha
